Enemy Tactics Part 4 - Charles

[7] ☆ Nehemiah 6:13...

"Therefore was he hired, that I should be afraid, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might REPROACH me."

 ■ Satan will use [INTIMIDATION] tactics... stir up fear... trick us into sin... to destroy our testimony... to condemn and discredit us.

He belittles us, he bullies us, he threatens us, he menaces us... he will tell us that we are useless, that we are not wanted, that we are not a "part of the team."

He'll say we are a square peg in a round hole... that we've got it all wrong.

He will use people and circumstances to bully us into defeat.

He will try to get us to a place where we want to go away, runaway and stay away.

He will use other people and situations to trick and entice us into sin to destroy our Christian testimony.

Our solution strategy...

Know that...

"If God be for me, who or what can be against me?"

No one!... No thing!

As said before, we must KNOW, we must have a firm understanding of who we are IN CHRIST JESUS!

Look to God all the time!

Trust Him always in everything!

Rest in Him continually!

Use the Word of God as a plumb line against everything and anything you read, hear or see.

 ☆ Joshua 1:9...

"Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be you dismayed: for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

 ☆ Nehemiah 6:14...

"My God, think you upon Tobiah and Sanballat according to these their works, and on the prophetess Noadiah, and the rest of the prophets, that would have put me in fear."

In today's modern vernacular... Satan is one total SCUMBAG!

He is our mortal enemy and he is up to no good at all.

As Jesus said, "He is a thief, a liar and a destroyer."

As gleaned from the book of Nehemiah, the enemy of God uses the above sordid tactics to railroad us from God, rob all that God has prepared for us... and... to throw a spanner into the church of God.

 A brief summary...

 • he insults our character.

• he incites trouble to stir us up.

• he infiltrates to set the church family against one another.

• he uses intrigue to conspire against us and unsettle us.

• he incriminates falsely (accuses) to destroy us.

• he is persistent in his efforts to annoy and wear us down.

• he intimidates and belittles to lord it over us.

And what is our greatest defence?

• Know who you are in Christ Jesus.

• Know the Word, believe the Word and speak the Word of God.

• Keep your eyes firmly fixed on Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith.

• Place your complete faith in Jesus' finished work on the Cross and His glorious resurrection.

• Put on the whole armour of God and stand in the power of God's might.

• Pray! Pray! Pray! and... pray some more!

• Praise! Praise! Worship! Worship!

☆ 2 Corinthians 10:4-6...

"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but are mighty through God to the...

 • pulling down of the enemy's strong holds;

• casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and...

• bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled."

Check out your obedience to God!
