TEAMWORK - CONCLUSION
The apostle Paul used the concept of the human body to convey that we are all part of one body in Christ
Everyone working together for the benefit of all.
The means by which we will grow up and become more Christlike.
This is what we are.
Using the concept of a team working together conveys how we should relate to one another.
We can be part of a body but if we are not relating well the body will not function properly.
This is what we do.
Talking about teamwork might look like we are using worldly concepts
Or reducing the Church to a business.
But I believe that what we have looked at are truly biblical principles.
And any group of people in any sphere of influence that applies biblical principles will prosper.
The thing that sets the Church apart from any other organisation, is that we are connected to the head. Christ Himself.
And our purpose, is greater than any other purpose, mission or goal.
To preach the gospel and extend the Kingdom of God.
In many areas, the world has stumbled onto biblical truth and thought it was their discovery.
In business, in science and in psychology, just to name a few.
For us, we can hold everything up to the word of God to measure it.
We can judge all things, hold on to what is good and let the rest go. 1 Thessalonians 5:21.
I would suggest that, the concepts of teamwork that we have looked at are biblical concepts of how we fulfil the second commandment.
To love one another.
This is who we are, His disciples, because we have love for one another. John 13:35.
And how to fulfil the Great commission by working together to carry it out.
This is what we do.
It is a way of walking out our faith and our convictions in a way that pleases God and obeys His word.
Who we are and what we do matters.
Let’s do it well..
